The Cost to set up a manufacturing company in Dubai

The cost of setting up of a manufacturing unit will be varied depending upon the activities and requirements, but we can focus on certain areas to be chosen to get the accurate figures of the set-up of manufacturing unit in the emirates of Dubai.

The important aspects to be considered

  1. The activity of the firm – The activity should be clear to know the linked approvals to be sought for the purpose. For example, “a lubricant manufacturing unit” need to seek approval from ministry of energy and commerce in addition to Ruler’s court. Ruler’s court has interest on any business that matters with natural resource of the country or emirates.
  2. Size of operation unit (warehouse/ land). This is an important factor deciding the total cost of the firm. Any manufacturing unit may require building or land that equipped with power supply ranging from 10KW to 100KW or more depending on the requirements.
  3. The land/warehouse must be reflected in the planning department of Dubai Municipality followed by the approval of Civil Defense and that are eligible to set up a manufacturing unit.
  4. Appointing 3 consultants from 3 segments such as
  1. Environment consultant – to prepare the environment impact assessment report on behalf of the firm as per the guidelines set by Dubai Municipality.
  2. Civil Defense Consultant – the agency has to make sure the firm is fit to operate under any operational circumstances by installing fire and safety- equipment’s.
  3. Expert business consultant or legal team to put things to make sure the conformity of guidelines and requirements.

Other factors

  1. A local sponsor to assist you in the process of company formation where he has exclusive roles to play when it comes as matter of immigration, ministry of labor and many other.
  2. Proper budget based on the above factors.
  3. The cost of third-party government departments are displayed transparently in the respective websites including the duration of approval and required process at their end.
